How it works

One story.

Every viral moment gets a dozen coins within minutes. VampCheck finds all of them, checks who is actually trading each one, and names the top coin: the one that fits the story best and has a real market behind it. Everything else on the story is a vamp. A vamp can still pump harder for a while, but now you know which is which.

01 / The pipeline

From one tag to one verdict.

Usually 20–50 seconds

Paste or tag

A contract address, a $ticker, a story ("moo deng"), an X post or a news link. On X: reply to any post with @usevampcheck, or paste a CA after the tag.

Find every coin

Searches DexScreener and Pump.fun for every Solana coin with the same name, ticker or story words, including same-ticker copies and coins still on the bonding curve.

Check each one

Liquidity, 24h volume, market cap, holder spread, mint and freeze authority, and a sample of the latest ~100 transactions: who traded, and what they paid in fees.

Score

Story match + real market, then the bot checks: fees paid, recycled wallets, dead coins, fake market caps, coins launched before the story.

Verdict

TOP COIN, VAMP, TOO CLOSE TO CALL or NO TOP COIN YET, with a score out of 100 and one sentence saying why. Every number links back to its source.

Does the coin fit the story?

A coin only counts for a story if it is clearly about it. Each signal below is scored from 0 to 100% and weighted:

Name & ticker match: the coin's name or ticker matches the story, letter for letter or close to it. Works in every script (日本語, 한국어, кириллица).
Real community: has an image, social links, real trading (≥ $5K volume or ≥ 200 trades), holders not concentrated (top 10 ≤ 60%) and a market cap of at least $20K.
Name found in the source: when you give an X post or article, the coin's name words appear in what was actually said.
Launched for this story: launched after the story appeared. Launch age itself earns nothing. Being first is not the same as being real.
Links the source: the coin's own links point to the original post or site.
Story words in the coin's text: name and description share the story's key words.

03 / Fees paid · the bot detector

Real traders pay real fees.

People trading through Axiom, Photon, GMGN or a wallet pay priority fees and tips on every trade. Volume bots pay only the base network fee (0.000005 SOL), no matter how much they move. So VampCheck looks at the latest ~100 transactions of every coin and compares fees paid with SOL traded.

Fees under 0.001% of the SOL traded: volume bot. Score ×0.35.
Fees under 0.005%: mostly bot volume. Score ×0.7.
Real leaders usually pay 0.01% to 1%+.
If a few wallets (≤ 10 of 100) send every trade at the base fee, that's a bot too, even when SOL volume can't be measured.
This check runs on every coin that reaches the top 3, even the busiest ones. A coin can't win without passing it.

Calibrated on 236 real coins. Example from a real check: one coin moved 269 SOL in under a minute and paid 0.0006 SOL in fees in total. It dropped from #1 to #24.

How many different wallets?

In the same 100-transaction sample, VampCheck counts how many different wallets traded and how much the busiest one did.

Under 15 wallets per 100 trades: recycled or bundled volume.
One wallet sending over half of the trades: dominant wallet.
Top 10 holders owning most of the supply (curve and pool accounts excluded): concentration.
One holder above 15%: whale.
Mint or freeze authority still on: supply can grow, or wallets can be frozen.

Organic activity 30%: wallet variety and fees from the sample above.
Liquidity 20%, 24h volume 15%, holder spread 15%, 24h trades 10%, market cap 10%.
Fake market caps are ignored: a $48B cap with $6 of trading counts as zero.
Dead coins (under $1K traded in 24h) are scored ×0.3.
Coins launched before the story are older namesakes, not a reaction to it: ×0.5.

The best two are neck and neck. Both are named, and either could take the lead.

Paste a CA, a pump.fun link or a DexScreener link after the tag to check that exact coin. You'll get TOP COIN or VAMP for it.
The reply comes in about 1–2 minutes, with the verdict card as an image.
It answers only people who typed the tag themselves, and only once per post. Thread replies that X tags automatically are ignored.
